So my first 5k of the year is about 2 weeks away. St. Patrick's day run here I come.
In preparation I've been running 5/1 intervals for 30 minutes a few times a week... and running 10 minute intervals for 45 minutes once a week.
So this week I put on my ipod cranked up Kanye West and got started. 2.81 miles in 45 minutes. That includes a 5 min walking warm up and three 2 minute walking intervals.
I learned that I upped my distance by about .05... and also that Monster is my new running theme song.
I'm a motherfuckin' monster.
