Of Weight Loss & Boobs

I weighed in this week at Weight Watchers and I lost another 2 pounds, which I was super happy about, but it got me thinking.

Well... that led to a conversation that got me thinking. Mems was hoping I'd fit back into this cute ruffled black slip dress after a few more pounds.  I told her the dress fits again, except for in the chest.  My boobs are too big for it.

I last wore the dress 4 years ago and I still love it so much.    But the boobs won't budge.

Since January I've lost 22 pounds and this may be too much information (who am I kidding most of what I write is TMI) but none of that weight loss as been in my chest.  I'm not complaining, I'm just stating a fact.

It's no secret that I'm comfortable with my boobs.  In fact I rank my best qualities in this order- Tits, Teeth and Hair.  It's been my nickname for myself for quite sometime. It's the reason I don't have a Mia Farrow pixie cut, I obsessively floss and I own a lot of tank tops.  I'm not afraid of being buxom.

But there comes a point when, as other parts of me shrink, I really want a little bit to go.  Just for fashion alone, I'm still stuck buying huge shirts to fit the girls that tend to tent around other parts of me.

Plus, let's face it if I ever reach my goal weight and the boobs don't go I'll probably have trouble standing up straight.

  1. I totally hear you. I've always had a big chest, but when I gain weight, I gain it in my chest (the measurement and the cup size) and in my butt. When I lose weight, I lose it in my butt and some in my chest measurement -- the cup size stays the same. So I can revel in smaller pants, but I have to get the same size dresses as before. It's so frustrating.

Great job on the weight loss! Even if we have to keep the boobs, it's great to know we're fit. ;)

  2. so proud of you and your weight loss. i don't know if i wish i had that problem or not. i lost 3 inches in my chest (and finally fit into my 'old' pre-pregnancy bras again). i think that at some point your chest will follow suit with the rest of your body and downsize. :) but while you got 'em, flaunt 'em! haha!

  3. In adulthood, I've been 10 pounds lighter than I currently am and 15 pounds heavier, and my boobs haven't budged a bit. It certainly beats the alternative but I feel ya on the bigger shirts. Still, congrats on the loss!
