The other day  I got a Facebook invite from a friend.  She's turning 30 in November and wants to run a half marathon to commemorate it.  Originally I declined, saying I was going to be running in a marathon relay in the same event she was doing the half, but then I started thinking.

Why not? 

I run about 3.5 miles 3 times a week, I bet I can start upping my mileage now and make it to November.  Well I did seek the counselor of my much more seasoned runner friends first. 

Then I found a free training plan online that doesn't seem too tough to tackle

It's from Runners World Tulsa and I'm modifying the running days, but I started it on Sunday.

I mean I need something else to train for... let's do it.
