Workout Wear

When I workout I throw on workout pants and a sports bra and a ratty Thirt, pile my hair in a bun on the top of my head and I'm good to go.

I was at the gym Sunday putting in my 45 minutes on the elliptical and I started looking at all the different outfits people were wearing.

Being judgemental me... I found the four types of people you see at the gym.

1. Slobby Gym Rat- this would be me. I basically make sure my shirt doesn't smell and throw on tennis shoes to hit the gym. My reasoning being I'm just going to get get gross and smelly so I don't need to look cute.

2. Fashionista Workout Princess- Perfectly coifed and made up women on the treadmills. I personally don't understand the point of putting on make up to go sweat it off. And by the time my workout is done there is sweat pouring down my face.

3. The weight lifter- the amazingly buff men and women in shirts cut to have huge arm and neck holes. They're outfits are complimented by huge back support belts and lots of oil on their bodies. These people scare me and make me stay away from the weight area. I will have to conquer this fear one day.

4. On the way to Work Workout- In my early morning treks to the gym I have seen several people who appear to be already dressed for work and working out in slacks and penny loafers. I mean I get the importance of working out, but don't they smell when they get to work?

But despite my leggings and bleach stained I heart Tulsa shirt I wore to workout in today... I got just as good a work out in as the fashionistas and weight lifters... and isn't that really all that matters?
